3rd workshop on »Queer Temporalities and Media Aesthetic« in cooperation with Critical Theory Cluster / Northwestern University

Thanks to the generous funding commitment of the Ruhr-University’s Research School we are happy to announce the third workshop in cooperation with Northwestern University’s Critical Theory Cluster taking place from 24th to 26th April 2018 at Ruhr-University Bochum. 
Seven PhD-candidates of NU (Gabby Garcia, Kyle Kaplan, Rae Langes, Thomas Love, Whitney Pow, Karly-Lynne Scott, Joshua Winchester) will be discussing their projects with Grad Students (Jasmin Degeling, Philipp Hanke, Sarah Horn, Mary Shnayien, Maurice Spengler, Leonie Zilch) and members of faculty at Bochum. After two successful workshops held at the NU, the project »Queer Temporalities and Media Aesthetic« brings together graduate students from the two universities as well as their theoretical perspectives and research interests of academic disciplines such as media studies, gender studies and philosophy, queer theory, African-American studies and performance studies. It is initiated by Prof. Dr. Penelope Deutscher and Prof. Dr. Astrid Deuber-Mankowsky.
